Wilma K. (Grupe) Stolzenburg was born August 15, 1915 at Elk Creek, Nebraska to Arthur and Clara (Blume) Grupe. She was baptized at St. Peters’ Lutheran Church, Elk Creek, Nebraska and confirmed on March 24, 1929 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Beatrice, Nebraska. She married Gilbert H. Stolzenburg at Beatrice, Nebraska on April 3, 1948. He died on May 20, 1988.
Wilma (Pat, as she was known to friends) worked for Northwestern Bell. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel bible classes and enjoyed volunteering (at church and in the community), embroidery and crocheting. Volunteering for Hospice of the Red River Valley and the Fargo/Moorhead Emergency Food Pantry was especially meaningful to her.
Pat died at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND on April 24, 2017. She was 101.
Pat is survived by two sons, Melvin (Rose Martinez), Littleton, CO and Ronald (Jean), Rib Lake, WI; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Stolzenburg-Krueger (Aurora, CO), Carrie (Joe) Booth (Minneapolis, MN) and Kyle Stolzenburg (Arnold, MO).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gilbert.
