William Vining

William Vining, 84, of Fargo died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. William Myron Lenley Vining was born September 2, 1927 in Fargo to Marian and Lenley Vining. He graduated from Chaffee High school, attended Concordia College and Wahpeton State School of Science. He served in the Marine Corps and Air Force, then joined the North Dakota Air National Guard and was employed there for 30 years. He married Naomi Graepp on May 24, 1952 in Fargo, ND. He is survived by three sons, Stephen (Sandra) Vining, Beaver Creek, OH, Mark Vining, Fargo, ND and Timothy (Sandra) Vining, Goodyear, AZ; daughter, Anne (David) Barlow, Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer Vining, Lisa (Wayne) McConnell, Ben and Geoffrey Vining, Molly Barlow and Justin and Janie Barlow; great-granddaughter, Corinne McConnell and brothers, Jack (Eva) Vining and Clifford (Darlene) Vining. Bill was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church and member of the Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake near Pelican Rapids and also First Lutheran Church in Fargo. He enjoyed his years as a member of the Woodturners group, Helping Hands of First Lutheran Church and Bible study breakfast groups of Zion Lutheran Church.
