Wayne Wilson, 88, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Sanford Health, Fargo. Wayne was born in Cambridge, Minnesota, on July 28, 1922, son of Anthony and Mabel (Nybloom) Wilson. When he was five years old, the family moved north of Bismarck to a small town called Falkirk, North Dakota, where he grew up. Wayne graduated from Underwood, North Dakota high school. Wayne served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He was a Telegraph Operator for the SOO LINE railroad in Enderlin, North Dakota and retired as a Supervisor Agent in 1983. He was married to Marilyn Chapman from December 1946 to 1972, when she passed away. Wayne married Idella Ruff Schott June 30, 1974. Wayne is survived by his wife, Idella, Fargo, ND; a son, Mark (Elinda) Wilson, Virginia Beach, VA; and two daughters, Marla (Kurt) Eichmeier, Everett, WA; and Mari Beth Wilson, Seattle, WA; and Idella’s daughters, Clydine (Darryl) Fey, Hawley, MN; Cynthia (John) Nubel, Battle Creek, MI; Colleen (Roy) Johnson, Zurich, IL; and son, Cordell (Pamela) Schott, Fargo, ND; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Marilyn Chapman Wilson; brothers, Ray Wilson and Bob Wilson; and sisters, Eloise Hand, Vinnette Ai, and Louella Russell. Funeral Service: Friday, May 6, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Baptist Cemetery, Stranchfield, MN.
