Wayne Allen Johnson, 76, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his home with his wife Doris by his side.
Wayne was born on May 6, 1947 in Fargo, ND to Vernon and Helena (Olson) Johnson. He attended schools in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1965. He was drafted into the US Army, spending the entirety of his time stationed in Panama where he proudly served his country as a chef. During his time in the army his kitchen received many awards for his cooking. Following his service he attended at NDSU while working full time.
Upon returning from the service, Wayne started his 40-year career in auto parts sales. He began his family with his wife Janean and together they had three children, Daniel, Mark, and Rani.
In 1988, Wayne married Doris (Burgad) Pederson and together they made their home in Fargo and enjoyed their time at their lake home as well. They enjoyed traveling to Florida and Cancun for many years.
Wayne loved fixing and restoring cars both of his own and for friends. He had an unbelievable sense of humor and was known to keep family and friends laughing. Wayne valued helping others in need and would utilize his expertise in both home and auto. He was a salesman at heart and continued to craft his salesmanship on the internet after retirement.
Wayne touched the hearts of his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Daniel Johnson and Mark Johnson, both of Fargo, ND; Rani (Brock) Reznor-Nicholson, Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Pazli and Selena; and brother, Steve Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Johnson; and nephew, Mike Johnson.
Memorial Service: 10:30am, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior.
Burial: 1pm, Friday at Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
