Wayne R. Current, age 82, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Lund Home/Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, AZ. Visitation will be held from 10AM to 11AM, followed by his 11AM memorial service at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo, ND. Bishop Amy Current will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley or a charity of your choice.

Wayne Ronald Current was born in Fargo, ND, on April 24, 1942, to LaVerne and Ronald Current. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School and NDSU. On August 13, 1966, he married Carol Jeane Van Ornum in LaMoure, ND. He worked for NCR Corporation, Sparak Financial Systems, and Harland Corporation. He retired in January of 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Current, of Fargo; daughter, Corey (Erik) Current Halls; granddaughter, Siena Halls; grandson, Alistair Halls, of St. Louis Park, MN; son, Jeremy (Erin Ashby) Current; grandson, Charlie Franta; granddaughter, Livia Franta, of New Ulm, MN; grandson, Sam Shafer, of White Bear Lake, MN; brother, Dale (Ann) Current, of Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and LaVerne Current, of Fargo, and his brother, Lyle Current, of Cassopolis, MI.
