Ward Harris

Ward H. Harris, 83, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Ward Hamilton Harris was born September 12, 1925, in Fargo, North Dakota, son of Asa and Blanche (Estby) Harris. He grew up on the family farm north of Fargo. Ward graduated from Moorhead High School, Moorhead, Minnesota. Ward married Dolores Foster November 11, 1951, in Valley City, North Dakota. Ward worked on the family farm before going to work for American Crystal Sugar Company in 1963. He retired in 1992 from that company and retired from farming in 1974. He enjoyed photography and working with wood in his shop. Ward is survived by his wife, Dolores, Fargo, ND; four sons, Craig (Yvonnee) Harris, U.S. Territory of Guam; Brian (Cheryl) Harris, Lake Park, MN; Kevin (Vickie) Harris, Fargo, ND; Allen Harris, Fargo, ND; one brother, Bruce (Marilyn) Harris, Fargo, ND; and one sister, Beata Harris, Sun City, AZ; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Darrell. Memorial Service: Monday, February 9, 2009, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Coffee and bars after the service at the Plains Art Museum Café.
