Wanda Lee McGray-Moore, 81, passed away at Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND, on July 10, 2019, surrounded by family, and under the care of hospice.
Wanda was born in Hankinson, ND, on August 2, 1937, to Harold and Viola (Tiegs) McGray. She spent her childhood on the farm, getting severe sunburns on the tractor, befriending the farm animals, and going to dances. Later in life she moved to California where she had the unique opportunity to press records for various recording artists, most notably The Temptations, in Los Angeles. She also spent a brief time on a working ranch preparing meals for the ranch hands, and in the middle of her California experience she gave birth to her three children. Eventually she ended up in Fargo with her three kids, where she worked in various positions at Dakota Hospital for 29 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and caring for her cats. But the thing she most enjoyed in life was interacting with her family, and keeping up with everyone's lives.
She is survived by her two sons, Wade (Nancy) Moore of Fargo, ND, Tim Moore of West Fargo, ND; one daughter, Nancy Lee Moore, of West Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren: Travis, McKenna, Brodie, Jaycee, TeJay and one great-grandchild, Remi; her sisters, Marlys Beith, of Lakeside, CA and Joyce VonRuden, of West Fargo, ND; and her best friend and cousin, Barb Odens, of Breckenridge, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Viola (Tiegs) McGray; one brother, Robert "Sonny" McGray.
