Wanda Lousie Greenley entered into heaven on April 21, 2015 at the age of 61 in her home in Moorhead after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease.
Wanda was born on April 17, 1954 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, ND to Melford & Betty (Vareberg) Dronen. Wanda graduated from Sharon High School as the Class of 1972.
Wanda married Timothy Scott Greenley on August 3, 1973 in Lisbon, North Dakota. They had two children, Jeffrey and Stephanie. They made a home on the family farm in Lisbon, ND until moving to Beach ND on October 16, 1989. Wanda and Tim moved into the Fargo/Moorhead area in 1996. They worked on various farms in North Dakota until moving into Moorhead to live with her son, Jeff.
Wanda was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 2007 that she courageously fought until her entrance into heaven. Wanda moved in to the REM group home in 2009. She never let that disease get the best of her..she always kept her smile and her laugh even through her battle. And was quick to try and get the best of the staff at her group home.
Wanda always said her best job was being a grandmother and wished she had done it before being a parent. She has eight grandchildren (Brooke, Camron, Brieanna, Colton, AJ, Devree, Jaclyn and Peyton) whom she loved to spend time with teaching to cook or bake her famous chocolate chip cookies. Wanda loved taking the grandkids whenever she could. Wanda also loved to garden and when living on the farms always had one to tend. Wanda also loved to play games whether it was card games or board games or just a practical joke.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband Timothy (Fergus Falls, MN) and her children Jeffrey (Misty) Greenley, Moorhead, MN and Stephanie (Greenley) Smith, Dilworth, MN.
