Wallace Lewis, 93, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo.
Wallace S. Lewis was born on November 29, 1919 to David and Ida (Wright) Lewis in Fargo, ND. He attended school in Fargo. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943.
Wallace married Donna Halliday on September 16, 1945 in Fargo, ND. He and his brothers started Lewis Sand and Gravel in 1946. During the winters, he worked for Great Northern Railway. He later drove for Midwest Motor Express until his retirement in 1984.
He loved rebuilding cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and enjoyed spending time at Lake Lizzie, fishing, and hunting.
Wallace is survived by his son, William (Andrea) Lewis, Jamestown, ND; and daughter, Tammy (Paul) Thompson, West Fargo, ND; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Ida Seyb; brothers, Nate, David, Rollo, Kenneth, and Arlie; and son, Bradley Lewis.
Memorial Service: 11:00am, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo (at a later date).
