Waldron “Wally” Elmer Littlefield passed away on August 14, 2023, at the Hospice House in Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by family. Wally was born on December 26, 1936, to parents Hazel Viola and Elmer Whitney Littlefield. He was raised in Alice, ND, and graduated from Enderlin High School in Enderlin, ND. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He worked for American Telephone & Telegraph for 31 years and Netcom Solutions International for 20 years. He was also a proud member of the American Legion and AT&T Pioneers of America.
What he was best known for, though, was his generosity and commitment to others. He loved photography, target shooting, spending time with his family, traveling the world, and visiting his favorite store, Costco. He was always willing to help a family member in need and offer them advice (or a screwdriver).
He is survived by his wife, Judith Littlefield, Fargo, ND; his children Steven Littlefield (and wife, Jennifer Littlefield), Huron, SD, and Susan Littlefield (Shawn Foroughi), Tigard, OR; step-sons, Rodd Trickle (Lupita), Pelican Rapids, MN and Rory Trickle (Tera Kellerman), Fargo, ND; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his beloved beagle, Lady.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hazel Littlefield.
Memorials can be made through donations to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue and the Emergency Food Pantry-Fargo.
The family would like to extend additional thanks to the nurses and staff at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Sanford Hospital, and the Hospice House in Fargo for their excellent care during Wally’s last weeks of life.
