Vivian Joyce Larson Dunlop was born January 4, 1930 in Roseau County, Minnesota to Olaf and Esther (Thorin) Larson.
She was married to Lloyd Dunlop in 1947 and moved to the rural Minto, ND area and had three children. In 1961 the family moved to Forest River and the following year she began working at the Getz Drug Store in Grafton. She worked full-time and then part-time, post retirement until 2008; though the store changed names and ownership from Jim’s Rexall to White Drug. If her health would have allowed, she’d still be working!
In 1982, Vivian moved to Grafton, was a member of Federated Church, Hobby Club, Card Club, a past chair and volunteer at Unity Hospital Auxiliary, treasurer and volunteer at 2nd Time Around Thrift Store, Meals on Wheels, basketball tournaments, etc.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Vivian was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Dunlop Wing in 1995.
Vivian is survived by sons, Dennis (Merrie) Dunlop, Fargo; Darren (Donna Heck) Dunlop, Fargo; grandsons, Derek (Andrea) Dunlop, St. Augustine, FL, and Tyler (Loan) Dunlop, Oceanside, CA; Ben (Holly) Hixson, Fargo, Carl Riske, Fargo; granddaughters, Tinsley Wing, Nashville, TN and Donna (Kevin) Winters, Cody, WY; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Jack Winters and Isabella Dunlop.
