Virginia C. Wittkopp

Virginia C. Wittkopp, 73, of Fargo passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Manor Care nursing home.

Virginia was born September 4, 1939 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Clara Arneson. She grew up in Fargo and attended Fargo Central.

On November 2, 1956 she married Ted Hlebechuk in Fargo. They moved to California and lived there for 5 years before returning to Fargo. Together they had 5 children.

On March 3, 1977 she married Allen Wittkopp in Fargo, where they made their home for the continuing years.

Virginia was a homemaker raising her kids, and her home was always the center of activity for the neighborhood kids. Later she worked in the hotel business.

Virginia enjoyed her family, friends, bingo, Sunday night wrestling, and the old fashioned quarter slots at casinos. Christmas was always a big day at her house with presents for all. She looked forward to visits from her great-grandchildren; they were all very special to her.

Virginia is survived by her husband Allen; five children, Jeffery (Becky) Hlebechuk, Fargo, ND; Mark (special friend Rhonda), Litchville, ND; Steven, Fargo, ND; Kelly Fix (special friend Richard), Fargo, ND; Kris Christenson, West Fargo, ND; five grandchildren, Jason Halvorson, Andrew(Jess) Brammer, Adam (Meghen) Brammer, Matthew (Jess) Christenson, Jessica Christenson; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Delano (Janet) Arneson, Cotton Lake, MN; two sisters, Dorothy McKean, Warren, OR; and Belva (Ralph) Grindberg, Cotton Lake, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gloria Lemke, Fargo, ND.
