Violet Fisk, 89, of Mankato, Minnesota (formerly of Marshall, MN and Fargo, ND) died May 31, 2012 at Keystone Communities of Mankato.
Violet Lorraine Pearson was born January 25, 1923, in Arthur, North Dakota; daughter of Paul and Hulda (Svenson) Pearson. She graduated from high school in Arthur and attained an Associate Teaching Degree from Moorhead State University.
Violet married Dellwyn Fisk June 8, 1946, in Fargo.
She was a teacher in the Harwood, North Dakota School District until her retirement in 1952. She lived in Arthur, North Dakota until 1940, before moving to Fargo. She resided in Fargo until moving to Marshall in 1999, and Mankato in 2007.
She was a member of the VFW Auxillary, O.E.S. Orpah, Honored Ladies of Shrine, Eagles Auxillary, Arab Patrol Ladies, and Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Denise (Gary) Rudolf, Mankato, MN; two sons, Neil (Karen Ertl) Fisk, Milwaukee, WI; and Tracy Fisk, Finley, ND; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dellwyn; sister, Ferne; and brothers, Gunard, Hilding and Lloyd.
