Viola “Vi” Peterson, 92, of Lake Park, MN, (formerly of Fargo, ND), died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN. Viola “Vi” Schuler was born June 24, 1914, on the family farm near Washburn, North Dakota, daughter of John and Rosina (Schatz) Schuler. She attended country school. Vi helped on the family farm and worked in Bismarck, where she met Joseph Peterson. They married on January 17, 1940, in Washburn. They moved to Fargo, ND, after they were married. Joe died in March of 1997. Vi was a kind, loving mother who especially enjoyed her grand-children. She was active in her sewing club, Royal Neighbors and church activities. Vi is survived by her son, Mike (Nancy) Peterson, Pelican Rapids, MN; and her daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Walstrom, Moorhead, MN; two sisters, Sara (Al) Kleinschmidt, Bismarck, ND; and Esther Nathan, Aurora, CO; and two grandchildren, Shauna and Jeremy Walstrom, Moorhead, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and five sisters. Funeral Service: Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 10:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Chapel, Fargo, ND.
