Viola Carrier

Viola Lyslo Carrier passed away on October 10, 2022 at the age of 99 in her home in West Fargo.

Vi’s parents were Ole and Helen Lyslo, and she grew up on the family farm in Wabek, ND. After graduating from Plaza High School, Vi attended the Minot Business Institute. She then moved to Chicago after she was hired as a nanny. She loved Chicago and lived there for many years. Her family enjoyed visiting there and she had frequent guests.

She moved to Fargo when her mother was aging. Vi made many friends in all of the cities where she lived and had a stream of visitors.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister and brother, Opal Westgard and Ellwood Lyslo. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews, and dozens of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

There are no memorial services at Vi’s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the New Life Center in Fargo, an organization that Vi donated to regularly.
