Vincent McCord, 65, of Fargo, ND died suddenly on Friday, April 20, 2018, at his residence.
Vincent Cedric McCord was born on February 9, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Leo and Josephine (Brigham) McCord. He moved to Fargo, ND in 2000, which is when he married Elaine Wendlick. He previously worked for the University for Minnesota before moving to ND. He worked at the North Dakota State University, as kitchen supervisor, and also at Integrity Windows, before he was injured and retired.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Wendlick; his son, Vincent "Bird" Howard and his long time companion, Terri Evans; two grandchildren, Vincent "Little Bird" Turner, and Evan Howard; his many step-children, Timothy (Kris) Boland, Brian Boland and his long time companion, Sharon Mason, Paul Boland, Johnny (Marilyn) Wendlick, Robert (Dianne) Wendlick, Scott Wendlick, Chuck (Margaret) Wendlick, Renae Haug; siblings, Leo McCord, Regina (Robert) McGee, Bernadette (Joseph) Locke, Kenneth (Sharlesha) McCord, Veronica Mack, Nicholas (Patricia) McCord and Adrinne McCord. He was also blessed with MANY step-grandchildren, who he loved as his own.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Leo & Josephine McCord; his grandparents, Gilbert & Marie Brigham and Louis & Lillian McCord; His two brothers, Mark and Karl McCord and one brother-in-law, Daryl Mack.
A second service will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.
