Victor Simonson

J. Victor Simonson, a long time Argusville, resident died, Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Anoka, MN. Vic was born September 29, 1911 in Aneta, ND. He married Judy Tosse, at Bergen Lutheran church on June 23, 1943. They farmed for 54 years near Argusville, where they raised their family. Vic graduated from Aneta high school in 1930 and earned a teaching certificate from Mayville Teachers College. He taught for a short time in a rural school in Morton County for $45 a month. He chose farming as his life work after that experience. Vic is survived by son, Charles Simonson, Houston, TX; daughter Claudia (Duane) Parks, Ham Lake, MN; Wesley (Nancy) Simonson, Bend, OR; and Ruth Simonson, Ham Lake, MN. He also had 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grand children. He is also survived by sister, Iyle Kitchen, Fargo, ND. The funeral will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church, Harwood, ND. There will be a visitation Wednesday morning at Zion Lutheran Church an hour before services.
