Victor Ervin Lambrecht, 79, Pelican Rapids, MN died January 5, 2018 at Sanford Health after several years courageous struggle with cancer. He wanted to live to the age of 80 and missed it by 17 hours.
Victor Lambrecht was born January 6, 1938, at Bordulac, ND, son of Ervin and Agnes Lambrecht. He graduated from Bordulac High School in 1956 and entered the US Army for 2 years, spending one year in Korea. Victor married Loretta Martinson June 18, 1960 at Robinson, ND. He worked at a packing plant in West Fargo for six years then went to Interstate Business College for one year. He worked at the Amoco Oil terminal in Moorhead for 30 years before retiring on 1998. After retirement he worked part-time for Kelly Services and for a local farmer.
He enjoyed spending time at his grandchildren’s sporting events and was a very kind and gentle man. He was very particular about having a well groomed yard and surrounding ditches.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; one son, Brian (Jolene), Moorhead, MN and three grandchildren, David, Michael and Amy Lambrecht; three sisters, Diana, Arnold, MO; Beverly Nilson, Brentwood, CA; Karen (Larry) Meek, Salem, OR. He was preceded in death by two sons, David (infant) and James; his parents, Agnes and Ervin and two brothers, Arden and Wayne.
Visitation will be 5-7PM Tuesday, January 9 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour before the service at Zion Lutheran Church. The funeral is 10:30AM Wednesday, January 10 at Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake, Pelican Rapids, MN, with Pastor Dale Pepelnjak officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
