Vicky Lee Swanson, 72, of Fargo, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Bethany on University.
Vicky Lee Draper was born on June 29, 1949, to Harry and Bonnie (Gagnon) Draper in Yankton, SD. She graduated from Yankton High School. After graduation, she moved to Fargo. Vicky worked in the hospitality industry for many years as a housekeeper for different hotels in the area. She retired from Howard Johnson after 25 years with the company.
Vicky was married to Bob Bates until his death in 1989. Years later, she would meet and marry her husband, Jesse Swanson. They were together until his death in 2013.
Vicky kept herself busy with different hobbies, including reading, walking and puzzles. She had a special love for her many kitties an dogs, along with old movies, especially Ma and Pa Kettle.
Vicky had a good, happy life. She will ever be remembered as a happy and very independent lady.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bonnie Draper; both of her husbands, Bob and Jesse; and her nephew, Justin Henderson.
She is survived by her siblings, Penny Pitman, Donna Forman, Cindy Henderson, Tom Schmidt, Randy Schmidt, and Mike Schmidt. She also has many nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
