Vernon Dennis Moe

Vernon Dennis Moe, 85, passed away peacefully at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, on May 26, 2014.

Vern was born to Ole and Pauline (Peterson) Moe on July 14, 1928 in Fargo, one of 6 children.
Vern retired from Clay County Highway Department in 1992. After retirement he enjoyed summers at South Twin Lake in Minnesota and winters in Arizona, Nevada and visits with his daughter in Wyoming.

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Adair and son, Larry (Ellen) Moe; 2 grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Moe, and Paula (Cory) Schuh; 4 great-grandchildren, Kara Schuh, Maxym Schuh, Cameron Moe and Kendall Moe; sisters, Irene (Marvin) Fogel, Dorothy Bartholomay and Donna Rehm; and son-in-law, Gene Helweg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Lorene Helweg, Jean Palen (the kids’ mother), brother, Harlan Moe, sister Pearl Bearfield, brothers-in-law, Jean DuBord, Lewis Rehm, Virgil Bartholomay and sister-in-law, Gladys Moe.
