Vernon A. Kading passed away peacefully at Sanford Hospital, surrounded by his family on Monday, April 12, 2021. Vern was born in Ada, Minnesota on July 3, 1943 to Evelyn (Kappel) and Arthur F. Kading. He attended school in Ada and Fargo, North Dakota, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1961.
He joined the Army National Guard and Reserves and served eight years. He retired from Premium Products, a heavy-duty truck brake industry in Fargo. He later worked for J.W. Auto Parts in West Fargo. Most recently, Vern was a Valley Bus school bus driver.
Vernon was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was also a strong supporter of wildlife conservation.
He loved his children and grandchildren, family gatherings, and Saturday morning breakfast at the Fryn' Pan.
Vernon is survived by his wife Jeanne; sons, Chris (Charlene), Mount Vernon, Washington, Kevin (Erin), Bismarck, North Dakota and daughter Andrea, Casper, Wyoming. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, Kyle, Erik, Landon, Bridger and Emery; his great grandson, Bentley, and his dog Gunnar.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo.
