Travis Job, 28, Ulen, MN, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Hawley, MN.
Travis was born Aug. 18, 1992, in Fargo, where he grew up and attended Fargo South High School. He obtained his GED through Woodrow Wilson High School.
He was united in marriage to Hanna McDougall on Sept. 8, 2018, in Glenwood Springs, CO. They made their home in Ulen on a farmstead they worked together to restore.
Travis held various jobs over the years – from construction to driving semi-trucks. He was proud to have his CDL and enjoyed being on the open road. His love for his family was strong, so the road home was his favorite.
He had lots of talents and never shied away from hard work or dirty hands. He was “hands on” and could fix or build anything he put his mind to. He had a passion for auto mechanics and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took great pride in loving and supporting his family.
Travis is survived by his wife, Hanna; daughter, Gracelynn Job; sons, Noah McDougall, and Tyrson and Waylon Job; his parents, Damon (Wanda) Job, Fargo, and Lisa (Keith) Widmer, Hawley; in-laws, Steve and Karlena McDougall, Callaway, MN; siblings, Cory (fiancee’ Ashley) Gillerstein, Moorhead, MN, Maggie Gillerstein, Andrew (Catlyn) Widmer, Alex, Allison and Austin Widmer, all Fargo; sister-in-law, Karlye McDougall, Callaway; grandparents, Shelia Salberg, Jamestown, ND, Sylvia Job, Greeley, CO, and Darlene Jacobs, Ralph and Bea Alderman, and Harris and Arlyce Widmer, all of Fargo.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Gary Job and Francis Jacobs; brother-in-law, Billy McDougall; and his beloved German shepherd, Sam.
Since Travis was a “boots ‘n jeans, flannel shirt ‘n ball cap” kind of guy, the family is requesting those attending wear casual attire. Please be comfortable if you are attending. The service will also be streamed on the funeral home website for those who are unable to attend.
There will be a gathering after the service at First Congregational Church 1101 17th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103.
