Thomas Blake, 63, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at his home. Thomas Lee Blake, son of Bernard and Emma (Barringer) Blake was born May 30, 1945, in Graceville, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm west of Clinton, Minnesota, and graduated in 1963. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska. After serving four years, he moved to Massachusetts and worked in the paper mills. In 1978, Tom moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area. During the years, he worked at Crystal Sugar, Anheuser Busch, Wal-Mart and Eventide. Tom had a green thumb and thoroughly enjoyed his flowers and gardens, which were beautiful. He was a skilled painter and carpenter and completed many projects for family and friends through the years. He had a passion for airplanes and the great outdoors, especially fishing. Tom is survived by two stepsons and two sons, Dave and Dean, all living in the Massachusetts area; brothers and sisters Judy (Phil) Kucera, Ironwood, MI; James (Terry) Blake, Fargo, ND; William Blake, Sioux Falls, SD; Kathleen (Thomas) Magee, Canistota SD; Robert Blake, Ironwood, MI; and Deb (Bob) Loy, Porter, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Memorial Service: Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 10:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
