Theodore Smith

Ted Smith left this world on Nov. 4, 2008. On Aug. 10, 1948, Ted was born in Rugby, ND, to Adrian and Hulda Smith. He was raised and attended school in Willow City, ND. Ted worked on farms in the Willow City area and Miller Farms in Wahpeton, ND. He worked as a mechanic in McClusky, Bottineau and Willow City. He drove semi for Dale Kost of Fessenden and later became an over the road semi driver. He drove until April of 2008, at which time his health forced him to retire. Ted served with the U. S. Army from 1967 until 1970. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He will be sadly missed by his brothers: William (Gloria) of West Fargo, ND; Thomas (Joan) of Willow City, ND; George (Elaine) of Minot, ND; Robert (Molly) of Vidor, Texas; Charles (Dorothy) of Garrison, ND; James (Janet) of Moorhead, MN; Step-son, Justin (Jessica) Hill of Fargo, ND and Step-daughter, Georgia (Jason) Jenson of Fargo, ND and 15 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Adrian & Hulda Smith. Services will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Willow City, ND on Nov. 15, 2008 at 11 AM. Interment will be in the spring.
