Terry Edward Mercier

Terry E. Mercier joined his heavenly family August 29, 2015 at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. He was surrounded by the love of family and friends in the days before his passing.

Terry was born in Sharon, ND on November 4, 1944 to Ralph and Alphild (Dronen) Mercier. Terry worked as a truck driver most of his life. On March 20, 1980 he married his soulmate, Carol Anderson-Fritz. They worked side-by-side for 15 years in the upholstery business. Terry was a kidney-dialysis patient for 19.5 years, thanks to all the wonderful staff of doctors, nurses, and techs. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, fishing, TV and good music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bonnie Gayle; and his daughter, Jamie Beth.

Terry is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons, Terry A. (Barb) Mercier, Sandpoint, ID; Michael (Heather) Fritz, Fargo, ND; daughter, Tracy Haugen, Fargo; grandchildren, Riley (Lisa) Knutson, Bagley, MN; Sadie and Shelbie Hanson, Shevlin, MN; Nathan and Emily Mercier, Fargo, ND; Tyler and Tanner Fritz, Fargo, ND; and Morgan Haugen, Fargo, ND.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4-7pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 5485 27th St. S., Fargo, ND.
