Tanner Donovan Kinslow, 25 of Fargo, ND passed away unexpectedly on August 15th, 2023.
Tanner was born on May 27, 1998, in Fargo, ND to Pamela and Donovan Kinslow. He was welcomed into the world having an older brother who grew from being a rival at times to a protector, confidante and guiding mentor. Two sisters came along and he was more than happy to share his home with more siblings (more playmates).
Tanner grew up and attended school in West Fargo, ND, graduating in 2016. While growing up Tanner taught himself to skateboard like Tony Hawk and was active in West Fargo Hockey and baseball for years. Even though he never played extracurricular basketball and football, they were the sports he loved to watch the most as a young adult. After graduation, Tanner worked at Spicy Pie and Mexican Village, along with some odd jobs until deciding he wanted to join his brother’s flooring company where he worked until his passing.
Even very young, Tanner was full of personality and loved to laugh. Tanner gained many friends while growing up. Many are still friends to this day. He had a heart of gold and could never stay mad at anyone even when he tried. His humor, kindness, sensitivity, and compassion shined for all the world to see along with his “million-dollar smile”. Like many young people, he had struggles along the way but was working on carving out a bright future and was in love with a special friend when he passed.
Tanner had just been preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Nelson, Fargo, 10 days prior. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Kim Kinslow, Ogema, MN; all great-grandparents; and an uncle he never met, Jeffrey Craig Nelson.
Tanner is survived by his mother, Pamela Kinslow and father, Donovan Kinslow. He is also survived by his brother, Taylor Nelson; sisters, Jordan Kinslow and Mariya Kinslow; nephew, Lincoln Roberts; grandmothers, Janice Nelson and Debra Kinslow; uncles, Jamie Kinslow and Ryan Kinslow; aunt, Lara Danielson; eight cousins; his special friend, Morgan Koble; and many dear friends.
Celebration of Life will be at 2pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in West Fargo with a Visitation one hour prior. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Tanner will be buried at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
