Suzanne (Suzy) Pederson died suddenly on April 7, 2019.
Suzy was born to Violet and Burton Bredeson on May 28, 1942 in Dawson, MN. Her family eventually settled in Chester, MT, where she graduated as valedictorian from Chester High School. She went on to study Nursing at Montana State University.
While working in Great Falls, MT, she met a good looking guy with a Cadillac; Marvin Pederson of Twin Valley, MN. They married in Chester on June 2, 1963 and moved to Fargo. Suzy worked as a nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital. Suzy and Marvin welcomed their first child, Gina in July 1965. After the arrival of their second child, Tim in 1970, Suzy resigned from nursing to stay at home and care for her family. When her children were older, she worked in food services at Shanley, Ben Franklin, and Fargo North. She was an avid reader and supporter of the Fargo Public Library. She also enjoyed classical music, especially opera. When her children moved from Fargo and grandchildren arrived, Suzy and Marvin enjoyed many visits to Amarillo, TX and Charleston, SC. After Marvin retired, they had more time to travel and spend at their cherished lake home on West McDonald Lake.
Suzy was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Marvin, of 53 years. She is survived by her daughter Gina (Pam) of Charleston, SC; son Tim (Julie) of Amarillo, TX; grandsons, Jake and AJ; brothers, Neil (Nancy) Bredeson of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Jeff (Debbie) Bredeson of Beaverton, OR; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Audrey Airhart, along with her wonderful friends and neighbors.
