Sue Chaput

Susan Marie Chaput, 51, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, in her home. Susan, daughter of Del and Evelyn (Ekberg) Chaput was born September 3, 1958 in Langdon, ND. She grew up in Cooperstown, ND. In 1976, she graduated Salutatorian of her class from Cooperstown High School, where she also received a certificate for perfect attendance throughout all twelve years. She earned her LPN degree from NDSSS in Wahepton, ND. Susan worked for St. Luke’s/MeritCare for over 20 years. For the last several years, she sold real estate. Sue was currently working for Realty Connection in Fargo. Sue enjoyed her friends and family, her home, gardening, lakes, and all sorts of crafts. She was known for her homemade cookies and apple pies. Susan is survived by her parents, Del and Evelyn Chaput, Cooperstown, ND; a brother, Kurt Chaput, Fargo, ND; two sisters, Kim (Jerry) Hook, Fargo, ND, and Lisa (Pete) Nordtvedt, Walcott, ND; eight nieces and nephews, one step-niece, one step-nephew, nine great nieces and nephews, two step-great nephews, several aunts and uncles, many cousins, and several special friends. Susan is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Fern Chaput and Art and Mae Ekberg, her sister-in-law, Tammy Chaput, and her great niece, Alison Haaland. Visitation: Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 5-7pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 7pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Memorial Service: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 2:30 PM, at Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Rest in Peace, Sue!
