Stewart Alfred Turing, 80, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2009. Stew was born May 15, 1929, to Emil and Olga Turing in Moorhead, MN. He graduated from Moorhead High School (1945) and Dakota Business College. He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Airforce. On November 20, 1951, he married Donna Mae Durensky. They lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area and were involved in many civic organizations throughout the years. He enjoyed his career as a banker, spending most of his years at Dakota National Bank in Fargo. Stew enjoyed the time he spent at West McDonald Lake with his children and grandchildren. He loved the big band music, cooking and visiting with family and friends. Stew is survived by his daughter Deb (Tim) O'Leary, son Douglas (Kathi) Turing, and grandchildren Patrick (Jana) O'Leary, Darrin O'Leary, Kaytlyn O'Leary, Jacque (Matt) DeGusto, Elissa Turing, Amanda (Stephen) Snyder, Jacob Turing and two great-grandchildren Lily O'Leary and Dylan Snyder; sisters Ethel Dahl and Ann Lein and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents. Visitation: Friday, October 16, from 6 - 7 pm with a Prayer Service at 7 pm. at the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Funeral Service: Saturday, October 17, at 10 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church.
