Steven Rorvig Jackson Rigg, of Jamestown, ND, died on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. He was 53 years old.
Born on May 3, 1963 to Ron Rorvig and Janice (Udgaard) Rorvig, Steve grew up and attended Jamestown High School. He was a skilled tennis player and was on the varsity tennis team. After graduating from high school in 1981, Steve attended Valley City State College. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1988. He then attended and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English in 1990.
Steve worked most of his life as a credit collection specialist in Minneapolis, MN. He returned to Jamestown in 2012 and was employed by the Kroger Company at the time of his death.
Steve is survived by his mother, Janice Jackson, Fargo; his sisters, Gayle (Brian) Bourke, Rancho Mirage, CA, and Lisa Rorvig, Moorhead, MN; and his nephews, Hayden, Boone, and Bennett Bourke, and Trygve Rorvig.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Ron Rorvig; his grandparents, Palmer and Alice (Engen) Rorvig; and Edwin and Helen (Myer) Udgaard.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at 11:00 AM at the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 Seventh Street South in Fargo, followed by a luncheon.
