Sigrid Schulstad

Sigrid Schulstad, 82, of Fargo, ND, passed peacefully to her eternal home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Sigrid Sissel Iverson was born in 1928 to Alfred and Benora (Halvorson) Iverson in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She graduated from Mahnomen High School and attended Concordia College. She married John Schulstad in 1948 and together they raised six children. Sigrid was divorced in 1981. Sigrid is survived by her five children, Lorie (Tom) Werk, Inver Grove Heights, MN; Mary Weisser, Fargo, ND; Carol Schulstad, Eden Prairie, MN; John Schulstad, Tulsa, OK; Sara (Tom) Anderson, St. Francis, MN; two brothers, Harold (Marlys) Iverson, and Kieth Iverson; sister, Ruth Buege; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James; great-grandson, Eli Person; brother Tarjei; sisters, Berniece Young and Audrey Wille. Memorial Service: 11:00AM, Friday, October 8, 2010, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: 5-7PM, Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: 7PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Sigrid’s family wishes to thank her caretaker, Berta Worcester, and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their loving care.
