Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint was born on September 13, 1942 in Fargo, North Dakota. She was raised on a farm north of Fargo and was active in 4-H as a youth counselor. After graduating from Fargo Central High School, Pepper married Bob Toussaint in 1960. Together, they raised five children. She was a homemaker in their early married years. Later, she was employed by the F-M Board of Realtors, serving as Executive Officer in the 1980s. Pepper served two terms as Cass-County Commissioner.
In retirement, she and Bob spent over 20 years in South Texas during winter and at their home on Pelican Lake during summer. She enjoyed softball in her younger years and served as President of the Women's F-M Fastpitch Softball Association for two years. Her greatest joy was her family. It was always the most important part of her life! She also had a special love for her Golden Retrievers!
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob; her children, Sheri (Mike) Wanzek, Ally (Tim) Maneval, Jeff (Joeleen) Toussaint, Chris (Dave) Furness, Mike (Lora) Toussaint; fifteen grandchildren, Brooke, Jade, Zac, Danielle, Cody, Courtney, Abby, Tanner, Austin, Jacob, Cole, Lizzie, Ellie, Hattie, Ben; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to thefund.org. Semper Fi is a non-profit organization that provides support to military veterans.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024, with a visitation one hour prior, at Cormorant Lutheran Church, Lake Park, Minnesota.
