Sharon Regstad, 80, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2022.
Sharon Lee Johnson was born on October 23, 1941 to Wayne and Irene (Enos) Johnson in Portland, ND. She was raised in Portland, and later moved to Fargo where she graduated from Fargo South High School in 1959.
Sharon married Lowell Regstad on March 11, 1961 and they resided in Moorhead, MN. She earned her business certificate at IBC and worked at Northern Heating. She then stayed home to raise their five children. Sharon later worked at and retired from NDSU where she loved getting to know and talk to the kids, especially the football players.
Sharon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, and was a long time member of AA. She had many hobbies, including crochet, word finds, adult coloring, and having coffee with friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed feeding squirrels and rabbits, watching birds (especially hummingbirds at her daughter Kristi’s house), playing with her grand animals, attending holiday events with her family, and Bison football games.
Sharon is survived by her friend and ex-husband, Lowell Regstad, Fargo, ND; children, Debbie Regstad, Fargo, ND; Carla Regstad, Glendal, AZ; Bradley Regstad, Parker, CO; Denise Fournier, West Fargo, ND; Kristi (Gary) Jorgenson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Breanna Mohagen, Fargo, ND; Eliott Asplin, Fargo, ND; Ashley Ackerson, West Fargo, ND; Mason Fournier, West Fargo, ND; Gavin Jorgenson, Grand Forks, ND; great-grandchildren, Kennedi Mohagen, Beckham Mohagen, Conner Asplin, Audrey Asplin, Rylan Ackerson, Camden Ackerson, sister-in-law, Sandie Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Arlyss Machado, Angie Boe, Mavis Jones, and Mary Slattery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tom and Dick Johnson; sisters, Connie Kuehl, Ramona Ihry, Patty Nordbeck, and her fiancé, Howard Borgen.
Memorial Service: 2:30pm, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND
