Sharon Anderson

Sharon Ann Anderson was born on December 9, 1944 in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Moorhead, MN, attended 1st grade in Hillsboro, ND and then moved to Havre, MT where she completed grade school, junior high, and started senior high. In 1960 she moved to Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1962. Sharon continued her education by attending Interstate Business College in Fargo. Shortly after starting Business College, she was offered a full-time position at the Nash Finch Company, a wholesale food distributor. For the next 38 years Sharon’s career at Nash Finch progressed from being a Receptionist to becoming a Grocery Buyer Clerk. Her career at Nash Finch included several relocations. She worked in Fargo for 16 years, relocated to Rapid City, SD for 18 years, and transferred to Denver, CO for 4 years. The office in Denver closed in 2001 and for the next 5 years Sharon worked a variety of full time and part time positions in Accounts Receivable. She retired in November 2006. Sharon met Allen “Bud” Anderson while working at Nash Finch Company in Fargo. They were married on September 17, 1965. While living in Fargo, they belonged to the 4-wheel Drive Club and spent weekends camping or at the family lake cottage on Island Lake. On September 18, 1970, daughter Becky Lynn Anderson was born. On August 30, 1990 Sharon became a Grandma when Becky had a son, Blake. Becky and Blake were a source of pride for Sharon and her greatest joy. Sharon enjoyed a variety of hobbies including reading, crafts, shopping, watching movies, and listening to old Country Music. She loved the mountains, the outdoors, and traveling. Sharon is survived by her daughter Becky and Grandson Blake both of Gillette, WY; mother and step-father Betty and Omar Berg of Devils Lake, ND; sisters Sandra Legge and Connie Heisler both of Littleton, CO; and special friend Stan Howe of Denver, CO. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Bud, father Leonard Schreder, father-in-law and mother-in-law Carla and Algot Anderson. Services in Fargo will be held at Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 Seventh Street S. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on .Monday, June 2, 2008. Graveside services will be held at St. Olaf Cemetery in Faith, MN on Tuesday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation. Please give to this cause in lieu of sending flowers.
