Heaven rejoiced on February 28th, when Sharalyn (Bostic, Neumann) King joined an army of angels. She was 78 years old.
Sharry was born the daughter of Lloyd (Charlie) Bostic and Lois Bostic (Huemoller) in Pipestone, Minnesota in August 1940. She is survived by her significant other, Jeff Lackey; daughters, Lois (Mark Gode) Baker, Kathy Neumann-Cieslak (Patrick Tanaka), and Kristi Adami; Grandson, Robert Adami; special family friend, Rich Cieslak; her sisters, Connie (Dirk) Schindel and Debbie (Nels) Tuvey; her niece, Jodi (Rich) Hill and nephew, David (Stacey) Quinn. She was preceded in death by husband Steven King; sons’ in law John Baker and Jerry Adami and last, but not least, her beloved cat, Little Bit.
After graduating school from Delano, Minnesota, Sharry was married and resided in Long Lake/Maple Plain, Minnesota. She was a full-time mother during the days to her children, working nights to help provide and help make sure her kids got everything they wanted. “Sharry-Mom” adored her extended family and spent as much time with them as possible. She had a special place in her heart for her one and only Grandson – and one and only Grandchild. She was an amazing musician, talented seamstress, selfless friend and did her best to be an awesome cook. She had a wonderful retirement spending winters in Port Mansfield, Texas – fishing, visiting and exploring. Her solace in the lakes country of Aitkin, Minnesota was a dream come true. She would spend hours watching the loons, boating, putzing, planting flowers, and visiting, visiting, and visiting at the local restaurants with her favorite waitresses and friends she made. She will always be remembered for her beautiful heart, contagious smile, ability to connect with people and her continuously generous life.
Her ten-year battle with ovarian cancer and its complications had been draining on her physical body, but she handled it with brilliance and a truly unimaginable strength. She passed under the care of Red River Hospice at her daughter’s house in Fargo. She was surrounded by her daughters and Jeff as she passed from this earth to Heaven where she shines in celebration, pain free, without worries.
