Shane Michael Pratt, 38, of Fargo, ND, left his worldly home on April 18, 2017. Shane had been fighting a glioma brain tumor for several years. He passed away at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley surrounded by his mother, brother and his beloved cat Willie.
Shane was born on August 23, 1978 in Fargo, ND. The son of Roger and Norene Pratt, he was the youngest of three children, raised in a loving home with one brother and one sister. Shane‘s childhood was filled with carefree days playing tag, riding his bicycle, and playing kickball with neighborhood friends. As Shane became older he could always be found playing baseball, soccer or football. Throughout high school he valued his true friends and found companionship and acceptance within this group. Always willing to lend a dollar or a smoke, Shane appreciated his close knit group of friends. Shane’s adventurous spirit allowed him to pursue thrill seeking activities such as white water rafting, skydiving, and skiing down black diamonds. In later life when Shane wasn’t working at Sew What Monogramming, he enjoyed pontoon rides, bonfires, and watching the sunset over Big Cormorant Lake.
Shane’s witty sense of humor and charismatic personality will never be forgotten.
Shane is survived by his loving mother, Norene Pratt (Fargo); brother, Steve Pratt (Bloomington); sister, Dawn (Jerad) VanDerBeek (Monticello); nephew, Dylan (Dani) Pratt (Edmond, OK) and great niece, Luci Pratt (Edmond, OK).
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger L. Pratt and grandparents, Walter and Violet Huseby.
