Selma E. Olson, 93, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND. Selma Evelyn Benson was born on June 25, 1915, at Heimdal, North Dakota, daughter of Carl and Caroline (Johnson) Benson. She attended school in Wellsburg, ND, and went on to live in Heimdal for 41 years. Selma married Hilding Olson on October 22, 1938, in Fargo, ND. She lived in Fargo for 46 years, working as supervisor of housekeeping at North Dakota State University until she retired in 1980. Selma was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, belonging to a circle and the serving committee. Selma is survived by two daughters, Charyl and C. John Anderson, Bloomington, MN; Judy and Barry Kramer, Red Wing, MN; four grandchildren, Mark and Terri Anderson, Northfield, MN; Greg and Christine Anderson, St. Paul, MN; Lynne and Charles Olson, Bloomington, MN; Jessica Kramer, Portland, OR; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilding; two brothers, Art and Lloyd; three sisters, Jenny, Lilly, Gladys; and her parents. Funeral Service: Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, September 5, 2008 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
