Ruth Nystul

Ruth Nystul, 94, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at Sanford Health. Ruth Halfrida Nystul was born January 2, 1918, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Fred and Jennie (Hanson) Sundblad. She graduated from Fargo High School in 1936. On January 28, 1939, Ruth married Orville Nystul. They worked at Star Oil Company from 1952 to 1964, when they both retired. Ruth and Orville moved to California for eleven years, returning to Fargo for the summer months. They moved back to Fargo in July 1994. Ruth is survived by her sons, Dale, Moorhead, MN; John (JoAnne), Oak Hills, CA; her brother, Fred (Darline) Sundblad; sisters-in-law, Betty Nystul, Davenport, ND; Dorothy Nystul, Fargo, ND; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, who died January 16, 2004; her parents; sister, Martha; brother, Helmer; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Stigen and LaVerne Nystul. Memorials preferred to the First Lutheran Church Foundation, Fargo, ND. Funeral Service: Monday, March 12, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 2-4 PM, with a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
