Ruth Bateman

Ruth Bateman, 89, of Fargo, ND, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at The Evergreens, Fargo, ND. Ruth Wright was born October 16, 1917, at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, daughter of Ed and Ethel (Green) Wright. She married S. David Bateman II October 2, 1938, at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They moved to Fargo, North Dakota in 1954. Ruth’s main interest was her children and grandchildren. She was active in Faith United Methodist Church and President of the YWCA. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Murtha (Richard) Kaercher, Cedarville, OH; her son, David (Carolyn) Bateman, Anchorage, AK; four grandsons, Gene and Brandon Kaercher; David and Christopher Bateman; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Service: Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 2 PM, at Faith United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, May 4, 2007, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
