Russell Fadness

Russell K. Fadness, 86, of Fargo, ND died August 30, 2008 at Rosewood on Broadway Nursing Home. Mr. Fadness was born January 3, 1922 near Glenfield, North Dakota and attended graduate school in that area. He went to and graduated from high school in McHenry, ND in 1939. In 1942 he went to work for Northern Pacific Railroad, where he worked until retiring from Burlington Northern Railroad in 1982. He served in an Army railroad battalion on the island of Luzon in World War II. In 1951 he married Erna Callison who passed away in 1983. He married Clara Renner in Fargo on July 5, 1986. Russell is survived by his wife Clara and seven step-children; Allan Renner, Kenneth (Judy) Renner, Donald (Judy) Renner, Richard (Cheryl) Renner, Douglas (Sandy) Renner, Charles (Lea) Renner and Deborah (Darrel) Raknerud. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers; Walter, Elton (Laurie), and Don. He is preceded in death by siblings Hildur, Sydney, Norma, and Therese. Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 1, 2008 – 2pm at First Lutheran Church in Fargo Visitation: One hour prior to service at the church Burial: Bethlem Cemetery in McHenry, North Dakota
