Roxanne M. Baumgardner

Roxanne "Rocky" Baumgardner, 57 of Fargo, passed away on October 22, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Fargo on April 11, 1955 to Ervin and Bernice (Mueller) Schick. Roxanne was the fourth of 5 children. She grew up in Fargo attending the public schools and graduated from Fargo North High in 1973. She married her childhood sweetheart, James Baumgardner, on September 18, 1976. They decided to start and raise a family in Fargo where they both grew up. They had one son, Michael, and raised a niece, Stephanie, as their own.

Roxanne worked at the Elks Club as a waitress part time until their son was old enough to start school. She then worked at the Taco Shop where she eventually became the head cook and held that position for 23 years. She loved spending time playing cards and pool, shopping with her nieces, playing with her grandchildren, and throwing family gatherings.

Roxanne is survived by her husband, James, her son, Michael (Stephanie), Fargo; her daughter/niece Stephanie Johnson, Fargo; 4 grandchildren, Brady, Andy, Connor, and Adelyn, all of Fargo; 3 brothers, Ron Schick (Lorraine), Moorhead, Bruce Schick (Jean), Fargo, Rick Schick (Char), West Fargo; and her large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Roxanne is preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Bernice, her sister Nancy (Robert) Brudevold, and her granddaughter Aliyah.
