Rosemary Morken

Rosemary Morken, 69, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2007, at Elim Nursing Home, under the care of Hospice, surrounded by family and friends, in Fargo, ND. Rosemary Wagner was born on February 6, 1938, in Crookston, MN. She graduated from High School in Fisher, MN. She attended Interstate Business College, where she met Eugene Morken and they were married on May 25, 1958, in Fisher, MN. They resided in Fargo, ND, where Rosemary worked at General Adjustment Bureau Insurance for 20 years and then at the VA Hospital as well as MeritCare and Walmart, until her retirement in 2003. Rosemary was a very giving person, who was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Elim Nursing Home and the staff from Hospice for the excellent care they gave Rosemary and her family during the last months. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ida; father, Martin; two sisters, Florence and Evelyn Wentzel; and two brothers, Delbert and Duane Wagner. She is survived by her husband, Eugene; daughters, Amy (Tim) Vilhauer, Nancy (Allan) Schafer; son, Todd (Michelle) Morken; and six grandchildren Lisa and Laura Vilhauer, Allex and Kylie Schafer, Seth and Noah Morken, all of Fargo, ND; brothers, Harold D. (Joanne), Crookston, MN; Lyle (Alice) Ross, Coon Rapids, MN; Donald (Joanne) Kesler, Kandiyohi, MN; Jerald (Margaret), Oxnard, CA; Earl (Elizabeth); Eugene (Gladys); Lloyd (Harriet) Wagner, Fisher, MN; sisters, Betty (Marlin) Radi, Seal Beach, CA; Irene Ross, Crookston, MN. A portion of the memorials will be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, May 11, 2007, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND, with a Prayer Service at 7 PM. Funeral: Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 10 AM, at Grace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
