Rose “Rosie” McLaughlin was born February 9, 1918 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Miles and Christine (Thorstad) McLaughlin. She attended Horace Mann, Roosevelt and Fargo Central High School, graduating in 1936.
After high school she worked at “Store Without A Name”, Reinhard Bros., National Securities Co., and OCS School at NDAC.
Rose married Leonard Pawski in La Junta, CO in October 1944. In 1980, Rose moved back to Fargo and worked for St. Luke’s Hospital, retiring in 1985. She then volunteered to help out at her 50th Class Reunion of Fargo Central, which became a part time job, working as office manager for eleven years. She retired in 1996. Rosie also volunteered at Merit Care.
Rosie died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Bethany on University, Fargo. She is survived by her son, Miles Pawski, San Francisco, CA.
Rosie was preceded in death by her son, Lanny Pawski; her brothers, Arthur, Charles, Allen, Oren, Kenneth, Jerome, Thomas, and Melvin; sister, Joyce; and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church Radio or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
