Ronald J Kuhn, 75, passed away May 15, 2023, at his home peacefully surrounded by his family. He was in the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Ron was born on April 5, 1948, in Dickinson, ND, to Howard and Joan (Fox) Kuhn. He was raised in Richardton and graduated from Richardton Public High School in 1966.

In 1967 Ron married Gayle Schatz. They had two children. Ron graduated from NDSU in Fargo and was employed as an appraiser by ND DOT for several years before starting his own real estate appraisal business.

Ron was devoted to his family and loved his grandchildren fiercely. He loved anything NDSU Bison and had season football tickets for many years.

After retiring, Ron and Gayle wintered in Arizona and Florida for many years. Ron was an avid golfer and was proud of his hole-in-one. Other than golfing, Ron enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking.

Ron is survived by his wife, Gayle, of 56 years; two children, Karmen (Joel Krieg) and Mark (Missy Bjornson); his grandchildren, Desirae (Scott Moyer), Alexander Krieg, Zachary Krieg, Mason Kuhn, Nicholas Bjornson, Daisy Kuhn; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Donna (Ken Link), Cheri (Dave Locke), and two brothers, Larry and Brian (Tracy) Kuhn, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda (Jim Hill); brothers, Richard and David.

The Memorial Service will be at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home on June 24 at 1 pm, followed by an open house at the Kuhn home. Interment will be at a later date at the Pioneer Cemetery in Taylor, ND.
