Ronald W. Holbrook, 65, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Fargo, surrounded by his family.
Ronald Wayne Holbrook was born October 9, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Lester and Kathrine (Nordvedt) Holbrook. He grew up in Seattle, WA, and eventually ended his travels in Fargo.
Trying his hand at his own businesses of mechanic and a towing company, he decided to do what he enjoyed, which was trucking. He drove for Northern Improvement and Strata, before moving on to work for Pepsi Co. He was so proud to be a “Pepsi Driver”. He was driven to early retirement in 2010 due to his COPD.
Ronald, also known as “Shorty”, was a friend to all who crossed his path. He was willing to look for the good in all and was always wanting to be there for his family.
His great personality and sense of humor will be greatly kept in our thoughts and he will be missed daily.
Ronald is survived by his daughters, Kathryn (Gerald) Goerts, Fargo, ND; Angela (Allen) Brawn, Phoenix, AZ; son, Lester Holbrook, Fargo, ND; sisters, Beverly (Bruce) Johnson, Barb Olson, Bonnie Olson, Robin Holbrook; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
