Ronald Eugene Hoffman, age 66, was birthed into heaven on Sunday morning, January 5th, 2014 at Villa Maria, Fargo, North Dakota.
Ron was born on July 27, 1947, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. At age 5 he moved to Moorhead, Minnesota.
Ron was involved in scouting, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed graphic arts, and he loved cars as best exemplified in the restoration of a 59 Ford convertible he completed with his Dad. He worked during high school at Warren's Café, Moorhead.
After high school Ron served his country as an Infantryman in Vietnam.
After his tour of duty he received his Bachelors Degree in Business from NDSU.
Following graduation he was the Manager of Country Kitchen in Devils Lake, North Dakota, worked at the Double D in Glyndon, Minnesota and for UPS in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Ron's gift of service to his country forever impacted the rest of his life. He remained active in veterans' organizations and his dedication to duty and compassion touched the hearts of many throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his beloved mother, Gladys Hoffman of Moorhead, his sister, Marlys Hoffman Heintz and husband Joe, his nieces, Elizabeth Sveum, and Michelle Enciso and her 3 children, his nephews, Bill Read, wife Kris and their 3 children, and Steve Heintz.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Matt Hoffman and his sisters, Julie Sveum and Donna Read Shriver Duke.
