Ronald L. Bushaw, 77, of West Fargo, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Sanford Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND. Ronald was born January 31, 1935 in Walsh County, ND to Leonard and Helen (Pasche) Bushaw. He graduated from Oslo High School in 1952. He worked for Bridgeman Creameries, Thief River Falls, MN and Allis Chalmers, West Allis, WI. Ronald married Lou Champagne October 6, 1953 in Brooks, MN. After serving in the US Army for two years, he worked for the Soo Line Railroad in Minneapolis, MN while he was attending Brown Institute of Broadcasting. Ronald had a career in radio broadcasting from 1959-1976. He worked at Builders Management and Investment Co. from 1976 until his retirement in 1996. Ron and Lou also owned and operated the Main Avenue Tastee Freeze in Moorhead, MN. Ron enjoyed buying new Ford cars and trucks. You could always find him in the garage washing and waxing his Fords. He is survived by his wife, Lou Bushaw, West Fargo, ND; daughter, Peggy (Russ) Henegar, West Fargo, ND; four sons, Patrick (Bev) Bushaw, Parker, CO, Perry (Kim) Bushaw, Hawley, MN, Paul (Kathy) Bushaw, Sauk Rapids, MN and Peter (Val) Bushaw, Horace, ND; brother, Dennis (Colleen) Bushaw, McCammon, ID; sister, Gloria (David) Bjorkman, Thief River Falls, MN; eight grandchildren, Heidi, Amber, Jeremy, Andrew, Mallory, Shanna-Lee, Michael, Allison, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Bushaw. Memorials are preferred to the Sandra J. Visitation: Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery - South, Fargo, ND.
