Roger Lyle Haglund was called home on Saturday, August 4, 2018, with his loving family at his side.
Roger “Rog” Haglund was born on October 1, 1946 in Ada, MN to Clarence and Lillian (Korsgarden) Haglund. He was raised in Twin Valley, MN.
Roger was a very talented man who spent his life as a self-employed handyman. He was a gentle giant who had a compassionate and kind heart. He believed in giving back as much as he could, and he helped so many pull themselves through dark times and provided them with shelter, finances, but mostly his kind and non-judgmental heart. He enjoyed tinkering on his collectible cars, going to car auctions, playing guitar, and singing and boy, what a fantastic voice he had. Roger took pride in being an Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War from 1966-1969.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Renae; daughter, Ronda (Bradley) Hahn, and granddaughter, Chloee (Clowny) Hahn. He leaves behind his siblings, Clarence Haglund, Ronald Haglund, Beverly Carabajal, Shirley Sather, and Sharon Losinski; mother-in-law, Inez Asleson; many sisters and brothers in law, along with many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents; his siblings, Curtis Haglund, Gerald Haglund, Adeline Warner, and Beatrice Burgress; father-in-law, Harris Asleson and many sisters and brothers in law.
An open house for the Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 3-5:30 p.m. at the Twin Valley, MN Community Center – 107 2nd St SW, Twin Valley, MN 56584. A balloon release with military honors will follow at Heiberg Park in Twin Valley.
