Robert "Omar" Anton Johnson

Robert A. “Omar” Johnson was born in Fargo, ND on September 23, 1952 to Axel and Florence (Hanson) Johnson. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo North High School in 1971. He graduated from business school in Kansas City and returned to Fargo and worked for Gaffaney’s and the Pierce Co. for many years. He worked sales at Saturn of Fargo for a short time before returning to Pierce Co. He then started his own business, Access Printing Solutions. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Fargo.

Omar married Deb Emerson on October 19, 1985 in Fargo. He loved sports, including hockey, bowling, football and golf. He loved life at the lakes, boating and fishing. He loved morning coffee on the porch with friends. Bob made friends everywhere he went. He cherished his family and his friends.

Omar died July 3, 2018 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Johnson, Lake Park, MN; sister, Julie (Lyle) Wang, Hawley, MN; sister-in-law, Diana Emerson, Fargo, ND; niece Jodi; nephew, David, as well as 3 great nieces.

Omar was preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to express gratitude for the outstanding care given to Bob in recent weeks. He was touched by many caring hearts and hands.
