Robert Olson

Robert Olson, 52, of Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly Friday, August 17, 2007, in Fargo. Bob was born in Fargo, ND on February 28, 1955 to William “Buck” Olson and Patricia A. Larson. He was a man of many stories; reliving the memory of the 1957 tornado, babysitting his nieces and nephews, playing softball with his brothers, hunting with his friends, holidays, and summer get-togethers. In 1978, he began his work with Pepsi Americas as a route driver. Since then, he had worked his way up to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Northwest Division. He had a strong personality which allowed him to be so successful and respected. He will forever be remembered as a sincere, honest, and straight-forward person. Bob is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kris, Fargo, ND; his brothers, Jeffrey (Joyce) Olson and Scott Olson, both of Fargo, ND; and his nieces, Brooke Olson, Kari Olson, Niccole Olson, and Samantha Olson, all of Fargo, ND; his nephews, Christopher Knutson and Tanner Knutson, both of Perham, MN, and Michael Olson of Fargo, ND; and a great nephew, Cohen Olson of Fargo, ND. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, William “Buck Olson and Patricia A. (Mattson) Larson, and his stepfather, George A. Larson. He will be missed greatly by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Memorial Service: Thursday, August 23, 2007, at 1:00 PM, at St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, August 22, 2007, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Wednesday, August 22, 2006, at 7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
